The need of the Development of the communication skills and soft skills is realized to meet the challenges of employment in public, corporate and private organizations.  The Acharya Nagarjuna University framed the syllabus for the first Language English to cater the needs of the students who are going to face different challenges in the corporate world in their future life. Listening and speaking course I & II was framed by the University for the first and second year Degree students respectively. It is a novel approach to the Dept. of English to teach communication skills as a separate entity. To the extent possible the Department is striving hard to impart Communication skills to the students. We haven’t yet established a Language lab to equip the students with more effective communication skills. The Department is awaiting the establishment of the Language lab which is an essential one in the process of teaching and learning communication skills and soft skills.
